The Hanoi Tattoo Club was founded by Tran Chi Hieu and a number of art lovers in 1999. It is one of the biggest clubs of its type in Vietnam. It is known to use the most modern tattoo techniques and equipment in Hanoi. Hieu periodically sends his staff to Thailand and Japan for further education.

The tattoo sub-culture was something of a novelty at the time in Vietnam, however Hieu's passion for the art form drove him to do extensive research on the tattoo sub-cultures of other countries and develop the Club according to international standards and practices.

Hanoi Tattoo Club also acquires the latest equipments from overseas and introduces them to other Vietnamese tattoo artists. At Hanoi Tattoo Club we combine professionalism and modern practices with Eastern cultural influences, and take pride in our distinctive Vietnamese style.
